The Statistical Office of the Slovak Republic is dissociating itself completely from persons who had visited homes in the village of Vadovce and posed as employees of the Statistical Office in Trenčín. They were visiting mostly old persons with the aim to get their house number and the number of persons living in a household for the purposes of the Population and Housing Census. The Statistical Office of the Slovak Republic warns that the Population and Housing census in the Slovak Republic will take place in May 2011. Survey, as performed in Vadovce is not being conducted at present. Census Takers always have to prove their identity by a special authorization which entitles them to carry out the census. If the Census Taker is behaving suspiciously simply call number 02/ 502 36 215 to check their identity.
